This Prince Albert-based program was a comprehensive youth arts mentorship program that included art forms of interest to urban youth. The program activities included contemporary and traditional Aboriginal visual arts through workshops. There were a series of open studio sessions in carving, drawing and visual arts with artists Quintan Sylvester and Michel Boutin, and there was also music and dance instruction by hip hop artists Smokey Campbell and Loki Renni. The program encouraged positive forms of expression about difficult life realities through mentorship with artists and cultural leaders who have achieved excellence in their art forms. The artist mentors had an understanding of the issues and risk factors that face these youth.
